There’s been alot of talk in the press recently about the real location of the Battle of Bosworth not being at the current site where the visitors centre is. Garlands Leisure’s main site here at Mythe Farm has a location marked on the OS map called “King Dick’s Hole” (don’t laugh!) and apparently this is where Kind Richard III watered his horses on the way to the battle field or if you listen to another chain of thought it is where King Richard died during the battle (Bosworth 1485: The Psychology of a Battle by Micheal K Jones). If you look at the map below you can see that the suggested location for Richards camp is here at Mythe Farm!

On our quad trekks we drive straight through “King Dicks Hole” (stop laughing!) and you can see Merevale Abbey in the distance where Henry Tudor was based prior to the battle.
